WWI german trench knife
these were popular with imperial German enlisted men
It’s about 7 1/2 inches long in the sheath ,.. with a 3 1/4 inch blade
It’s marked VOSS CUTLERY GERMANY
( the civilian subsidiary of the firm Robert kloos - who made knives and bayonets for the German military)
The knife is in decent condition
No sharpening marks or signs of rust
It has a deer antler hilt
The leather sheath shows signs of typical light wear ,..
the closure strap is a bit tattered and looks like it was once repaired ,..
These were carried as personal utility knives during both World War One and World War Two
kind of a cute and well made knife !
