WWI Era Brazil/Brazilian Bayonet (German Mfr.) "WKC" w/Brass Trimmed Scabbard
WWI Era Brazil/Brazilian Bayonet (German Mfr.) "WKC" w/Brass Trimmed Scabbard. Mauser manufactured 1908 bayonet for Brazilian Mauser rifle of that era. Brass fittings on the leather scabbard. Overall length in scabbard is 18", blade length is 11.75". Blade marked 'WKC Solingen'. Cross guard has a 4 digit serial # on one side. One wooden grip is deeply stamped '142'. Grips and rivets intact with no gouges,& no abuse. Push button works. Blade has staining which could polish out, this is quality steel. Leather scabbard body is complete and still supple. Couple missing stitches but no separations in seam. Brass tip with staple and the same for brass fitted throat. 114 years old and is used but in wonderful condition for the age. Located USA.
