WWI AUSTRIAN MODEL 1889 STATE OFFICIAL’S SWORD-WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM-VERY SCARCE

Very good condition original WWI Austrian Model 1889 State Official’s sword that is maker marked “WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM & CO. SOLINGEN” on the left ricasso. 31 ¾” blade has nice original bright finish and was never sharpened. Still has original red felt washer at the base. Brass hilt has nice looking patina and ornate designs including the Austrian double-headed eagle. Sharkskin covered grip shows some normal wear and has tight wire wrap. Fitted in correct original scabbard that is in fair condition. The leather covering is mostly lost, scabbard has no dents. A hard to find WWI Austrian sword that will make a great addition to a collection.
