Vintage Portuguese 833 Silver Gold Wash Enamel Azores War Ship Boat Figurine

Description

Presented is a vintage, Portuguese silver and enamel ship figurine or small statue made around the mid 1900s in the Azores. This piece is designed with finely handcrafted filigree wire work and has enameled accents. The figurine is done in the form of a war ship, frigate or galleon boat that has large sails. The filigree sails are decorated with red crosses and the base of the piece spells Acores (Azores).
The back is bears the Portuguese 833 purity silver hallmark as well as a maker's mark.
This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is some red enamel decoration missing on two of the flags.
