Vintage Italian onyx, Malachite and 800 Silver Box c.1970

Description

A wonderful example of a mid-century modern malachite box in a lovely simple Art Deco design.
The malachite is striking and in magnificent undamaged condition.  The hinged lid is made from solid 800 silver and both the top and bottom is trimmed in silver too.  The silver is fully marked 800 together with the makers mark.
The note was found inside, I presume noting where the box was originally purchased in Italy.
Dating to the 1970's it remains in excellent condition measuring 6 1/2" x 3 3/4" x 1 1/2".  The green colour in person is a little more vibrant than the pictures.
