Vintage 1950s/1960s Pink Metal Doll Trunk Doll Case Paper-Lined.
Charming, collectible doll case looks like a miniature steamer trunk. It has a pink metal exterior, black and metal trim and hardware including hinges, corner protectors and buckle closure; and a white plastic handle.
Not branded, no identifying marks.
Measures approx 11.5” x 6.75” x 6.5” and weighs approx 2 lbs.
Interior is paper-lined (in a light pink and white lace motif) and has a metal hanger bar and what may have been a cardboard drawer enclosure but is missing the drawer.
CONDITION: Please review photos to see that this is old and “played with,” the exterior has abrasions, scratches, dirt and grime, and oxidization to buckle and metal corners/edges.
Inside has a faded paper lining, grime and yellowing from age, brown spots in corners, a few peels and tack holes, a loose cardboard compartment and tape residue.
No dents to the exterior, no cracks to plastic handle, buckle closes securely. Surface-cleaned but still could use a good make-over, and has a very slight scent from storage. And yet, it charms!
