Description
Sterling Silver model of the tall ship "AMERIGO VESPUCCI" a specially mounted on a hardwood plinth featuring a brass plaque engraved with the ship’s name.
This spectacular model is entirely handcrafted of sterling silver composed of many elements made with great details, including 3 tall masts having sails, flags and rigging, 5 lifeboats, 2 motor boats, 2 anchors and other equipment ,highlighted with gold and bolted to a wooded plinth .
A Silver hallmarks from the 20th Century are stamped on the ship's sail including 925 Silver Proof Mark known as sterling silver and the typical 20th century Italian silversmith hallmark a polygon with five-pointed star and the silversmith registration number “87” and the letters “FI” for city Firenze. Please see the last two pictures in the listing.
The Amerigo Vespucci is a tall ship of the Italian Navy (Marina Militare) named after the explorer Amerigo Vespucci. Its home port is La Spezia, Italy, and it is in use as a school ship.
