Sony WM-AF79 “Outback” Walkman with original headphones.
I purchased it from another eBay seller but I am just not satisfied with it .
Up for sale is a rare Sony outback Walkman. It was part of the “Outback series “ of products ,which was marketed to Australians as well as comparing its rugged design and capability to the harsh Australian outback . It features Dolby NR, Mega Bass and AM/FM radio.Everything functions and works very well , Including the cassette player . At the time ,it’s design and performance was very similar to Sony’s “Sports” line ,however the rubber had not aged well and is prone to snapping and disintegrating . The issues with this Walkman is that one knob had started to disintegrate but I was able to keep it together by applying glue to it . The other issue is that one of the buds on the headphones had almost been bent off. I applied glue to it as well.Aside from its issues it’s a very nice and well performing Walkman, great as a mantle piece or for the cultured Walkman collector.I try to remain as honest and transparent as possible.
