Sony Walkman WM-60 Fully Functional (Rare)

Description

This Sony Walkman WM-60 has been partially serviced and had its belt replaced. It was first introduced in 1986 and was not available for very long. It has Dolby B noise reduction, a 5-band graphic equalizer, and auto-reverse with two capstans.
Playback in both directions, as well as rewind and fast forward, all operate. I can play a tape, press the “direction switch” button, and tape smoothly changes direction and plays the opposite side.
The sound out of both headphones jacks is good.
The EQ is fully functional.
It was difficult to get a picture of the playback head, but it is clean and the tape path is smooth.
Both pinch rollers are in decent shape.
The battery compartment is clean with a working door and latch.
A few of the edges have noticeable scratches.
Includes the original removable belt clip.
Reason for selling: I am more interested in collecting full size tape decks, so I only want to own one Walkman. The WM-60 is not really the Walkman for me. I’d rather have one that is from the 90’s (probably a DD) and more common. I also don’t need auto-reverse.
I know somebody will appreciate this unique WM-60. I really liked the 5-band EQ, which is what attracted me to purchase it. At the time, I didn’t know it was such a rare model...
