This item is a LaSious saddle doll stand, # LS6173.
LaSioux offered three sizes in the saddle stand, this one is the middle size. Made of high quality heavy steel, it is of sturdy construction.
The base measures 5 1/2 inches in diameter; the stem is 7 inches in length; gripper is 8 inches in height. The stand is easily put together with the included bolt, and tightens firmly.
The saddle stands are designed for fashion bodies that are cloth or leather. The gripper holds the doll at the pelvis, which allows the doll to be centered on the base. This size will accommodate dolls of 15-20 inches in height. An added bonus with saddle stands is that they do not interfere with the fit of the doll’s outfit at the waist.
