Rare Vintage Skipper & Skooter Polka Dot Vinyl Doll Carrying Case / #2001 Barbie

Offering a very HTF vintage vinyl doll carrying case for Skipper and Skooter from 1967 (model #2001) in light pink.  This polk-a-dot case is considered "
one of the "crown jewels" of vintage Barbie collecting as stated by the author of the "Collector's Guide to Barbie Doll Vinyl Cases" by Connie Craig Kaplan. This case is featured on page 164 of that book and cited as "Rare" and "Features unusual graphics".
It originally would have come as a "gift set" w/a Skipper or Skooter doll inside, and the doll could be seen through the case's window.  This case is being sold EMPTY with no doll.  It is in very clean condition, with main flaw being a split to the vinyl along the bottom of the front lid of the case, and splits at those same corners.  There is a small curved scrape to Skooter's hair in the graphics, otherwise, graphics are very clean.  Any discoloration to metal parts is minimal; mainly in area of the latch, and the inside is super clean and free of damage except for where the two splits can be seen at the bottom of the front lid.  The handle is firmly intact and slightly yellowed for age, and the window is in great shape, free of scuffs, maintaining a very, very faint yellowing to it, again, from age.  The case is about 9"x10" and comes empty, as shown, with no doll.  Made by SPP for Mattel.  **See pics and zooms for accurate representation of color and condition.**  From a smoke-free and pet-free environment.  No musty odors.   Buyer to pay USPS Priority Mail shipping, fully insured w/tracking in a box.  I ship within the US only, so no international buyers, please.  No returns unless item is grossly misrepresented by the Seller, so please ask any questions before purchasing.  When purchasing more than one item from me, I will combine in one shipment to save you money; just msg me for an adjusted quote BEFORE paying for multiple items (or I will refund you the extra postage if you should purchase multiple items on an original invoice).
