Description
Description and Condition:Here is one of those lovely big Irish sterling ladles from the late Georgian period, ca 1820s. This ladle is fully hallmarked with the maker's initials JS, John Smyth, date 1827-28, and Dublin marks. This ladle is 12.5 inches long. The bowl measures 3 inches long by 2.5 inches wide. This ladle has a good weight and feel to it. Proportions are excellent. Condition is original and excellent. Has a monogram on the handle. Smyth was a noted Irish maker.
