Quality 1920s Italian Silver Chariot Scene Small Box
Presented is an Italian silver box made during the early 1900s, most likely the 1920s. The box is a good weight for its size. The top of the box has a gadrooned leaf border and shows a chariot scene with a cherub and robed men and women. The sides are chased with rose and leaf decorations. The box closes securely shut and the hinge is in good condition.
This piece has been tested and is guaranteed to be at least 800 purity silver.
This piece is in very good overall condition. There are some pockmarks to the lid at the six o'clock position. This has left a few small holes in the lid, only noticeable if you hold the lid open with a light behind it. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits and no other repairs.
The box measures 2 1/4 by 3 inches and weighs 90.3 grams or 3.2 ounces.
