    Description

I'm offering for sale an extremely rare trial bayonet for German colonies in South Africa. This bayo was bought in SAR around 7 years ago.
The bayonet has an extraordinary untouched blade, beautiful scabbard has up to 98% of the original finish with no bends.
With reference to Ian Jackson reference book "Kurzes Seitengewehr KS 98 Model" there is information that only 250 pcs trial models with the wooden grips were made by Erfurt for Colonies in 1912. Up until 1912 all KS 98 bayonets had leather grips, but in 1912 Erfurt experimented with wooden ones (250 pcs were made) and composite ones (300 pcs were made).
I'm offering for sale one from 250 pcs made with wooden grips in 1912 by Erfurt.
This trial and rare colonial bayonet impossible to find/upgrade and it could be a great addition to any advanced collection!
Worldwide shipping (except Russia, Ukraine, Belorussia and countries where edged weapons are prohibited by local laws) 50 USD.
