Pair Antique Silver & Crystal Covered Compote Jars Sweetmeat Serving Dishes
Item Description
Gorgeous pair of crystal covered compote jars standing on silver bases. Circa early 20th century. Crystal has a paneled and thumbprint design. Silver bases each have hallmarks that are difficult to discern they look like the Dutch sword next to the capital letter “M”. They are filled with plaster to add rigidity and support. Measures about 14in height x 8in diameter. Condition: 1 has a sesame seed sized flake chip (not sharp) at the edge of one of the protruding lobes (see pic), a couple of other fleabites can be found if you scrutinize with fingers and magnification. All told they show well and will be a great addition to your table.
