    Description

    Up for bid is a vintage Italian(?) nickel silver figural handle salt spoon, dated 1889.  The spoon is 3 3/4 inches long and weighs 11 grams.  It has a shell form bowl and a figural handle of a woman dancer or water carrier.  The piece is engraved “June 6 / 1889” on the bowl back.  It has 2 marks in the bowl, an “A” in a diamond and a plume.  It is not silver or silver plated.
    Condition on the spoon is fairly good.  There are some stubborn stains on the bowl back and normal signs of use.  A nice vintage spoon!
