Nine Antique Dutch Elaborate Coffee Silver Spoons by Van Kempen, H.Hooijkaas c.1900
Description:
A selection of nine antique solid silver spoons - beautiful and unusual design, fantastic elaborate workmanship. Designed in distinctive Art Nouveau style.
Five spoons were made by the silversmith firm of Van Kempen, three spoons made by H.Hooijkaas and one spoon has the maker's mark that is too hard to read.
All marked with Dutch "sword" hallmark that was used from 1814 till 1905 for the silver fineness of minimum .833. It was used on small work without date letter and office mark.
The spoons are in perfect condition. The spoons are 4.25" long, 3.6 oz or 102 grams.
