    Description

    Antique German 800 silver standard with
    central light over four pierced and scrolled lion's mask-headed candle arms above a turned spreading standard ornamented with ringed lion's heads  on a circular base raised on winged monopodia. Height 22.5 inches. Removable bobeches....each numbered for corresponding light. Hallmarked EH 800 with other marks as shown. Weighs 1974 grams.  Impressive grand scale with good form and details. Late 19th or early 20th century.
    Similar pair sold at John Moran Auction May 8 2012  Lot 1074 for 00.
    Overall good condition as described and photographed above....wear from age and normal use....one or more winged monopodia possibly splayed.....sits level as shown in last photo.....possibly dipped and would further benefit from polishing/buffing/ restoration.
