    Description

Presented is a gigantic, Danish sterling silver serving or stuffing spoon made in Copenhagen in 1908. This piece is so huge that it makes the 1 foot ruler look small by comparison in one of our photos. The large, pointed handle is beautifully hand engraved with bright cut leaf designs and a monogram of the initials MT or MJ. The huge bowl of the spoon has a light gold wash.
The back of the handle is marked with the Danish silver three towers mark for a guaranteed minimum of .826 purity silver and in this case 08 for the year 1908, and an assay master’s mark for Christian F. Heise.
This piece is in fabulous overall condition. There are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no monogram removals and no repairs.
The spoon measures 14 1/2 inches long and weighs 155 grams or 5.5 ounces. For those with a big appetite.
