    Description

    For sale is a Dutch 833 silver salt shovel, dated 1855.  The piece is 4 1/2 inches long and weighs 7 grams. The spoons has a flared shovel bowl and a high arched shaped handle with an engraved heart design.  It has not been monogrammed.  It has a maker’s mark of an anchor over “HD”, with Dutch 833 silver assay marks and a date letter for 1855.
    Condition on the shovel is fairly good.  There are just some faint spots and normal signs of use.  A fine little salt shovel.
