Description
A die-cast solid silver structure pie/cake/pastry server.Shield-form paddle. Upper part decorated after a painting -
- "Capture a deserter". Lower part decorated with pierced scrolls,
birds, cherub holding basket above his head.
Stem beautifully decorated with scrolls and cherub faces.
Terminal decorated with a windmill with rotatable blades.

Not monogrammed.
Marked underside to a windmill house:
"800" for .800/1000 silver purity;
"Crescent and Crown" for German assay office;
script initials "SJL" into a circle -
- trademark for Jean L. Schlingloff (1907-1930)
Marks are not crisp and clear but readable.
