Engraved Cavalry Snuff Box Austrian 13 Loth Silver 1840 Prague
Antique Austrian 13 Loth (.813) silver rectangle form snuff box with hinged lid, decorated with an engraved depiction of a cavalry as well as scroll and floral patterns. On the back, there are engine turned patterns with engraved floral cartouche in the center. Made in Prague, 1840. Maker's mark "IO".
This handsome box is 3 3/8" long, 2" wide, 1/2" tall and weighs 83 grams or 2.67 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
