    Description

    For sale is an early European silver punch(?) strainer, sadly unmarked.  The piece is 6 inches long by 4 1/8 inches wide and weighs 97 grams.  It has a deep slightly conical bowl and a flat edge with threaded decoration.  The shaped tab handle is arched as shown.  It is monogrammed “C.E.C.G” in early style block letters on the handle front.  There are no marks.
    Condition on the strainer is fairly good.  The rim is a bit wavy, and there are a few cloudy spots.  It has a nice patina of age.  A neat piece of old silver!
