Early DUTCH Silver Cast Handle TASTING SPOON-Cupid & Mask Handle-Export Mark

Description

For sale is an antique Dutch silver tasting spoon with a cast figural handle, as is.  The piece is 3 3/8 inches long and weighs 11 grams.  It has a round bowl with an embossed scroll and shell design.  The handle has an applied mask, a standing cherub with a bow, and an animal head terminal.  It has not been monogrammed.  It is marked on the back of the handle with what looks like an [R8?] maker’s mark, a fish mark used on antique silver with an overstruck key for export wares plus another small round mark, possibly a French import mark.
Condition on the spoon is fair.  There are some visible solder lines around the bowl joint, but they may be from the original fabrication and not later repairs.  There is also heavy wear from use.  Still a decent old Dutch silver spoon!
