    Description

    A Dutch solid silver structure "monkey spoon"/strainer.
    Pierced oval bowl with a short, belt-form stem,
    which decorated with applied bowknot.
    Terminal decorated with a die-cast cherub which holding
    a flower-form cymbal in each hand,
    please see and inspect all photos.
    Not monogrammed.
    There is an old soldering between bowl and a stem.
    Marked to the stem front:
    "Minerva head" for assay office;
    tiny "rectangular punch" to stem underside - unreadable.
    Marked to bowl interior:
    script Gothic date letter - unreadable,
    please see photos with a
    red
    arrow.
    Made in the Netherlands/Holland, late 19th. Century or in 1900's.
