Daddy’s Long Legs LOT OF 5 DOLL STANDS. This lot is the shortest 5 stands of the 3 lots I’m listing.
PLEASE READ…. These are NOT new. They are USED. They are NOT perfect. Pls see every picture to better determine condition. Obviously you don’t see the stands except for the base. They were used 25-30 years ago to display my mother’s Daddy’s Long Legs dolls. Some I suppose were purchased from DLL’s dealers, others I know my father made.
I am selling them in 3 different lots. SHORTEST, MED LENGTH and TALLEST. Pls see the tape measure listing pictures to better understand how tall they are.
You will also see my dad has specific dolls names written on some stands so he knew what doll my mom displayed on that stand. I added these pictures just as a FYI. Maybe it will help some of you if you know that specific doll.
One of the stands doesn’t have a piece of elastic stapled to it. I believe my father had extras cut to supply my mother’s collection as it grew. I believe the one without elastic is in the TALLEST grouping of 5. This means you will have to buy some elastic, measure the dolls waist and staple it to the stand. You will also see the use of duck tape to better secure the stapled elastic. I believe this duck tape needs replaced. I’m not sure why some have it and others don’t? I just assume it was to give better support in holding up the dolls. Whoever buys these I suggest your husband or someone who is good at doing these little odds and ends check each piece of elastic and make sure they are stable. They are old. And like I said I’d replace the duck tape if he/she sees it as important. Also, depending on the dolls waist you may need to buy new elastic and replace so that it holds up the doll being displayed. The most important thing is protecting your dolls. I’m sure you love your collection as much as my mother did hers.
Also the doll stands will be taken apart so they can be more easily shipped.
