Beautiful Sterling Silver Pedestal Bowl w Griffin Eagle Figural Handles

Presented is a charming sterling silver footed dish or bowl. This is a modern piece, and we believe it was made in Greece. The dish is done in a handsome, classical style, oval in form with a pedestal foot. The dish is ornately decorated with floral medallions at four points around the sides, all beautifully hand chased and richly detailed. The handles are done in the form of griffin or eagle heads, with open beaks that may have held loop handles at some
point. The dish has a ropetwist edge decorating the rim as well as the foot.
This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
The dish is stamped 925, for sterling (925/1000) purity silver.
The dish is about 16 1/4 inches long and stands about 7 1/2 inches tall.
