Beautiful large Dutch silver and burl Walnut platter tray Zutphen BW van Eldik

This is a beautiful and large tray
made in silver and burl walnut
hallmarked for the city of Zutphen
dated 1941 by the important maker
B.W. van Eldik III (1884-1949),
last in the line of Zutphen silversmiths
dating from the 18th century.
B.W. van Eldik III headed the
N.V. Zilversmederij "Hollandia"
until his death in 1949.
Length: 49 centimeters.
Width: 30.5 centimeters.
Height: 4 centimeters.
The Zutphen Museum just finished an exhibition
entitled "Zilver voor Iedereen"
which focused on Zutphen silver
specifically the silver of "Hollandia".
