This is a new tool from Ashford.
I have used a lot of different types of winders.  This one runs very smoothly.   You can control the tension so you don't stretch the yarn while winding.   Doesn't require a separate cone.  Once removed from the winder the cake has a nice flat surface for stacking and organizing.
