Description
Up for sale is an Argentine Model 1891 Mauser Bayonet with matching scabbard. The crest has been ground down. You can still faintly see the numbers which look to correspond with the scabbard. The Pommel is marked with the "RA", The Spine has an A with a star above it. The Blade has some brown on it. It does not look to have been sharpened. The Hilt is marked with and R on one side and what looks like a Star with a P on the other. The press stud has good tension and is very smooth when pushed.
The Scabbard has the number also stamped on it of S1142. There is an E stamped at the mouth or throat of the scabbard. There are scuffs, scratches, and some small rust spots on the metal, especially where the frog would have set.. There is a D Stamped on the opposite side of the frog stud and the RA is stamped into the very end of the scabbard.
