Argentina Argentine Bayonet Model 1891 (rare brass grips)w/Scabbard. An original German manufactured bayonet which is marked on one side of blade "WEYERSBERG KIRSCHBAUM CO SOLINGEN". Other side of blade had the Argentine crest, which is ground off, and only a large 'C' remains. Other marks on item including a tiny 'RA' standing for Republic of Argentina on pommel. Some say this is a police or Navy issue bayonet produced in small quantities compared to the 1891 alloy/aluminum grip model. Push button works. 15.5" bright blade but has patina spotting here and there. Blade is original configuration. The scabbard is numbered 'T9718' at throat; and has a tiny 'RA' at tip. Theres also a letter 'D' on other side of throat. One light rust mark across bottom on one side- 2 inches from tip. About 80% original blued finish left.
