    Description

    Antique vintage sterling silver pastry server blade with ornate pierced design and hallmarked as shown. Unknown exact age or origin...probably Continental or European...I doubt English or American. Note beautiful mermaid like figure riding a sea monster dolphin with swans or geese above and north wind face below. Joined with acanthus like element with hallmarks either side as shown. I think it is entirely possible that the handle is a later addition...perhaps was originally wooden or other more ornate type handle....but I could be wrong. Weighs 98 grams.
    The blade tested and guaranteed sterling silver...please inquire for testing details and results.  The handle appears unmarked and NOT tested.
    Condition is fair as described above....please read. Flaws and potential flaws pointed out in pictures. Measures approximately 11 1/4 inches.
    Possibly very old...appears handmade and hand wrought and pierced with extremely fine detailing to the blade. Expert opinion always welcome.
