Antique Silver Footed Vinaigrette Pomander Scent or Snuff Box Italian c1840

Description

Silver vinaigrette or scent box with Naples hallmark for .834 fineness.  The mark was in use between 1832 and 1872.  Also with unidentified maker's mark.  Not pictured, but the very top unscrews to reveal a single hole that leads into the main chamber.  The piece stands 2 1/8" tall.  Normal wear for age.
