Antique Dutch Inkstand .833 Silver Crystal Glass Inkwell 1861

Description

Dutch .833 silver inkstand. A removable crystal inkwell and crystal pounce box. Fully hallmarked on both base, pounce box and pen rest. Pen rest has maker’s mark in square cartouche who CJ appears to read “I GH” Oval cartouche to center rim of base with initials “A.B.” in script font.
Condition:  Base is in excellent condition. Crystal elements have no chips or cracks but glass of pounce box has some degree of “sickness.” The top on the inkwell appears to not be original and does not sit perfectly and is believed to be silver plate rather than .833 silver.
