Antique c1922-1929 Superb European Silver Meat Skewer / Letter Opener
Presented is a superb quality silver meat skewer. This skewer is of European
make, likely Austrian, and dates to circa 1922-1929. The skewer was imported
into Czechoslovakia and has Czechoslovakian hallmarks. The skewer is made in a
lovely classical pattern featuring foliate scrollwork and shell decoration. The
handle has a monogram of E, done in flowing, foliate-decorated script. Although
this piece was likely originally made for use as a meat skewer, it would also
make an excellent letter opener.
This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no
breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped with a maker's mark AP and a Czechoslovakian small
article silver guarantee mark, guaranteeing 800 purity silver. This piece is
