    Description

    Unusual Machine Age silver box, ca 1930. Rectilinear with straight sides. Cover flat and hinged with curved ends. Applied geometric ornament, including circles and graduated and wraparound lines. Ends have bracket handles on rectilinear mounts and cylindrical supports. Cover top has same cartouche (vacant). Box and cover interior cedar lined. Open velvet-lined bottom. A mechanical-inspired design suggestive of an Art Deco radio. Marked "IF-H / Silver".
