Antique Austrian Silver Oval Lock Box with Pheasant. Working Lock and Key 1867
Lovely silver box with hand engraving all over. A Greek key design on the lid and the body along with the circles on a decorated background. A pheasant tops the lid and just above the lock what looks like a royal crest with a crown in a circle. The Austrian hallmark is the one used in 1867. Unfortunately the maker's mark is too worn for me to read. Box measures six inches across and about five and a quarter inches tall. Lock has the key and is in good working order.
