    Description

Antique 1897 S.T. Reitsma Sr. Lemmer Sneek Dutch Silver .833 Repousse Footed Bowl Birds & Flowers
This is a beautiful and finely crafted antique Dutch .833 silver bowl, marks indicate the bowl was made for export (lion w/ key mark) in 1897 (stylized N inside circle), and has the ST Reistsma Sr. Lemmer Sneek markers mark (RT mark).
    Measures 4-1/2'' across x 4-1/2'' long x 3'' tall: (11.4cm x 11.4xm x 7.6cm)
Weighs 182 grams (5.85 troy oz)
Impressive design featuring a flower bouquet on two of the four sides, and an elegant bird surrounded with a rococo motif on the other two raised sides. Claw feet with more rococo design around base and rococo floral design along rim of bowl.
Not sure if this was solely decorative or had a purpose of holding a particular object, the rounded center looks like it may have designed to hold something but not sure.
Note at some point the numbers 1829 were scratched into on the underside, possibly attempting to identify the date mark. This year does not correspond to the stylized N this bowl has based on my research along with the date range of the export mark. Possibly an error in identifying the date or  number may have been for another purpose.
