    Description

    Presented is a very old, continental European silver place or small serving
    spoon made in 1797. We believe this piece to be Austrian or perhaps German. The
    spoon is very simple in form and the rounded handle has an old, original
    monogram of the initials CSFH over the year 1797.
    This piece is in great condition for its age. There is obviously wear
    commensurate with age and use but there are no dents, no breaks, no splits, no
    monogram removals and no repairs.
    The spoon measures 8 1/8 inches long and weighs 45.4 grams or 1.6 ounces.
