    Description

6 DROOG ZEGWAART & VAN HERWAARDE Dutch .833 Silver DEMITASSE 4.5" Coffee SPOONS
A set of six (6) silver Demitasse Spoons from the Dutch maker Droog, Zegwaart & van Herwaarde.
We are pleased to present this set of six (6) silver Demitasse Spoons for your consideration. They come to us from the Dutch maker
    Droog, Zegwaart, and van Herwaarde
and date to the 1947 to 1949 time period, the time that the company was active.
Each Spoon measures 4-1/2 inches in length. The set of six (6) has a combined weight of 64 grams. Each has a Dutch hallmark on the front surface, located at the junction of the bowl and handle. You'll find a Sword mark on each (used from 1906 to 1953), indicating silver with a minimum of 833 fineness (83.3%), plus a maker mark
    D Z H
    .
Some tarnish spots are found on all of the Spoons, but they should clean up with a little polish. One has a broken outer segment to its fancy, pierced handle, but it is small enough to not be very noticeable (see close up picture). The other five are free of any damage. We rate the overall condition of this set as very good (see pictures).
