19th Century Dutch 833 Silver Snuff / Scent / Pill / Peppermint Box

For your consideration is a fine Dutch 833 silver Snuff / Peppermint Box, made circa late 19th Century. Neat etched and hand chased designs on this Serpentine form box. I leave the polishing of this Piece to the discretion of the future Buyer. This Piece is in very good age appropriate condition (light dings on underside of base), and has not been monogrammed. Marked: Dutch Lion 2nd Standard Passant Mark (indicating minimum 833 Silver Purity - see Photo’s #9,10); Minerva Head (Duty Mark - see photo #12).); Date Letter (possibly a “P” for 1895 - see photo #11); and a Maker’s Mark (“R” with a couple smaller letters - see photo #9).
