The Designer magazine was an equal to Vogue in the day and produced larger magazines with better fashion plates. This is an excellent example of a fashion page showing the hats of 1916. The article by Anne Harrison Black also tells of the Spanish infleunce with boleros, short jackets, tight bodices and full skirts, and capes. Also prints influenced by Spanish art by Goya and Velasquez.the transition from the 1910s to the 1920s. This beautiful fashion page is the largest size format of the day measuring 11 x 16 inches.
