    Description

    Presented is an interesting Austrian silver box dating to 1858. The lid of
    the box is chased with a detailed scene of the revelation of Christ's
    resurrection, with Roman soldiers being surprised by an empty tomb and a divine
    messenger, the three crosses on the hill of Calgary visible in the background.
    The interior of the box has a gold wash. The underside of the box has an
    interesting sort of geometric floral design.
    The interior of the lid is hallmarked with the Austrian 1858 mark and a
    maker's mark that looks like FS. Both marks are partially worn.
    This piece is in great overall condition. The hinge is in good shape and
    the lid closes nicely. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monograms,
    no monogram removals, and no repairs.
    The box has approximate dimensions of 3 1/4 by 2 1/8 by 3/4 inches, LxWxH.
    The box weighs 109 grams or 3.8 regular ounces.
