    Description

    1823 Adair County, Columbia, Commonwealth of Kentucky Circiut Court Sheriff Summons for Joseph Nelson to appear before the Circuit Court at the Courthouse in Columbia, KY to answer to said petition and return the writ to William Caldwell Clerk of the County. The hand written document has some browning, soiling and folds but is in very good condition. Measures roughly 6" x 8". A great rare piece of early Kentucky history. Signed by William Caldwell, Clerk  and testified by R. A. Caldwell.
